Kella (Kelsey) Piche is the writer and photographer behind Kella. She’s a minimalist loves a good adventure and has a soft spot for clean lines and natural finishes. Her philosophy to living simply is acknowledging that life isn’t always simple, but happy isn’t complicated. Kella grew up with her sister, mom and step dad on Vancouver Island. She was certified as a Emergency Medical Responder before taking off for Alberta, then Saskatchewan for new horizons. Past work in construction and the oil and gas industry drives her desire to do things that are in her skill set, useful, and meaningful. Time spent living in an 30 foot travel trailer with a footprint of just 200 square feet taught her to reevaluate what’s really needed. Kella currently lives in a modest home that would be considered palatial in comparison to the trailer, but embraces the notion that “living small” is beneficial and accessible to us all. Kella lives in Saskatchewan with her husband, Robert, and Siberian Husky, Ruger.
